FLOOD UPDATE

We have recently been fairly badly flooded. The Commercial Kitchen, Toilet Blocks, Laundry and Solar Shed all went under with major damage mainly to white goods. We still plan to open on April Fool's Day as per our Business Mode!  Some services will be slow on coming on line with updates here. We will provide power ($40) and non-powered sites ($30) - Kids Free- We will supply basic showers until system upgrade to include really hot water. We will all have a cup of tea and Johnny Cakes to start off your fun filled day.

Please don't bypass Mataranka the four commercial parks are all quite unique and are all open. By April 1st various Parks Hot Springs and walking paths / boat ramps will be available depending on weather.

We specialise in family accommodation.

Breakfast, small reptile holding, hay bail safe playground and close to two hot springs, fishing and other bush activities also close by. Also a nightly spectacular Whip Show 6km away ( Nathan "Whippy" Griggs ).

Des and Telka would like to welcome you to the Little Roper Stockcamp. Located in Mataranka in the Northern Territory, we are a caravan / camping park that provides visitors with a taste of the Territory.

We are located 2km from Mataranka Thermal Springs and 8km from Bitter Springs two of the Territory's best water holes.

In addition to caravan and camping sites we hold dinners during the week, cook up Johnny cakes for morning smoko, as well as providing visitors with the opportunity to interact with our friendly Brahman cattle, buffalo, reptiles and other animals.

A FAMILY PLACE

Whilst our prices are reasonable, please note the focus of our place is on families. We attract a significant number of kids who play on a pile of hay bales and make a lots of happy "kids noise" Whilst this gives the parents a bit of a break and makes the kids happy it upsets some people so consider this and possibly choose another place rather than come here and leave with a let down feeling.
